NSTA's Safety Advisory Board continues to develop safety resources for teachers. NSTA's safety portal includes guides on the use of personal protective equipment, and safer eye protection practices, as well as grade–level safety acknowledgment forms. One resource of note is the NSTA Position Statement: Liability of Science Educators for Laboratory Safety. This is currently under review, but provides a good document detailing the teacher, administrator's and school board's responsibilities toward providing a safe environment for learning science.
